Lawrence McCown
Originally from Texas · Based in New Jersey
From an early age, Lawrence has been driven by a deep commitment to helping others, a value instilled by his parents. Growing up, he watched them build camps for children with disabilities, creating spaces of belonging and empowerment.
He has since supported organizations focused on teen suicide prevention and natural disaster relief, bringing help to families affected by Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey and Hurricane Helene in North Carolina. His vision for MCF is to carry on his family's legacy of giving by organizing engaging events that fund noble and deserving charities nationwide.
Dawn McCown
Co-leader and guiding spirit of the foundation
Dawn has always believed that the greatest gift you can give is yourself, your time, your care, and your heart. Her passion for charity is rooted in a life where kindness, service, and faith were everyday practice.
As a co-leader of the foundation, she helps drive initiatives in mental health, disaster relief, suicide prevention, and community support. Every project she touches is grounded in love and the belief that small acts of kindness can change lives.
Jen Tezbir
In the nonprofit sector since 2014
Jen began her philanthropic career in 2014 with the Children's Tumor Foundation through their Walk events. After nearly a decade in event management and fundraising, her passion for helping children led her into the classroom as a licensed elementary teacher.
She brings that experience to MCF, partnering with charities and organizations to create unforgettable events and raise the crucial funds that make a difference in the lives of others.
